Ensure your grass gets the nutrients they need to thrive with our aeration services.
Does your lawn refuse to grow thick and vibrant grass? If so, compacted soil is probably the culprit. When soil compacts, it restricts your grass access to its nutrients. Compacted soil is a notorious problem in the Carolinas. The only way to fix it is by loosening the compacted soil. This process is called aeration, and it will help your grass grow richer, thicker, and more robust.
Aeration breaks up compacted soil and thatch allowing oxygen and water to find their way deeper into the soil.
Aeration helps create strong root systems by allowing nutrients to enter deeper into the soil.
Aeration creates a thicker, healthier lawn by loosening the soil encouraging the grass to expand.
Core aeration involves poking tons of tiny holes in your soil, in turn giving your roots better access to water, nutrients, and sunlight. At RDS Lawn Care Services, we’re able to streamline this process. We have a liquid aeration solution that will cover your entire yard. It will also encourage more seed rooting.
Aeration can provide direct access to sunlight for your grassroots. Because of this, it’s highly beneficial to pair aeration with overseeding. Doing so will provide the best environment for new seeds.
What is overseeding? It involves blanketing tons of seeds throughout your lawn. That way, patches that don’t have grass or are thin can fill in and catch up to the yard’s length.
When we combine overseeding with aeration, the results on the lawn are powerful. Your grass will transform from a patchy, off-green mess to a lush, thick yard full of healthy blades. Please don’t wait to reach out to us for these services for residential, commercial, and HOA properties. We provide our services to Charlotte, Mt. Holly, and Belmont, NC. We also do work in Fort Mill, SC.
In the Carolinas, the soil in our region tends to compact on itself. That makes it hard for your roots to get the proper nutrients they need to grow strong grass. Luckily, core aeration is the perfect solution for compacted soil. At RDS Lawn Care Services, we provide core aeration during the following times:
That’s all that it takes to perform core aeration with our company. We’re very quick and efficient with this service. After we’re done, you can leave your soil plugs there, or you can rake or mow them to get rid of them quicker.
Step One
Step Two
Our high-tech machinery will plug 3-5 inch holes in your soil. Your roots will use these holes to access nutrients, water, and sunlight.
We’ll make an extra pass over your property to make sure we didn’t miss anything.
You can choose from both core aeration and liquid aeration at our company. Liquid aeration will create tiny fractures in your soil that allow nutrients to travel deeper. If your lawn is at least 75% healthy, we will do liquid aeration. If your yard has a lot of patches and holes, core aeration and overseeding will work best.
Overseeding is used to fill in patches and bare areas with no grass. The best way to ensure germination is to overseed as soon as you finish aerating. That’s why we recommend pairing the two services together. The seeds will have thousands of tiny holes to fall in so they are able to get deeper in the soil and have better access to water and nutrients available there.
You can always rely on RDS Lawn Care Services for premium seeds. That’s because we use a seed trial that NC State performs for us. In the trial, they test over 200 varieties of seeds each year. They’re checked for drought tolerance, disease resistance, and their hue and shade. We only use seeds that are backed by science to succeed in your climate.
Every summer, the scientists at NC State provide us with the top 20 seeds from the trial. We then select our fescue seed blend from that list.
Ensure your grass gets the nutrients they need to thrive with our Aeration Services!
